My name is Stefan Sauer. I am a seasoned leadership coach and coaching leader, based in Brussels but constantly working internationally with leaders in Western & Northern Europe particularly.
I believe in corporate growth via individual growth of leaders. ‘Courage, humility & discipline’ that’s all it requires to further grow as a leader. We all have our blind spots.
I started my career as a lawyer (LL.M) at the Brussels bar but quickly moved into international mandates as Director in Banking & Finance. I held some regulated positions in Executive Committees of some globally relevant financial institutions. I built up essentially technical expertise on corporate governance, compliance & risk management but the many corporate change and transformation projects that I lived through during some 20 years brought me the strong conviction and passion for coaching as a leadership style. Successful corporate change handling is all about people. Coaching leaders are leaders who successfully implement change, guide people through transitions and win the war on talent.
I became a Professional Certified Coach (“PCC”) at the International Coach Federation (ICF). I also got certified as Executive Coach at Marshall Goldsmith’s Stakeholder Centered Coaching. (Marshall Goldsmith is generally considered still today as World’s #1 Executive Coach.) I am also an Accredited Practitioner at Integrative Enneagram Solution, a powerful tool to get closer to your deep insight core personality traits and core motivation. I have a passion for driving a coaching culture in organizations. The cross-cultural dimension of international corporate environments attracts me also a lot.
When I’m not coaching, writing or speaking on this subject matter, you will find me outdoor! Walking or cycling. I am also a big fan of the mountains both for skiing as well as for hiking. I am also the proud father of 2 grown up daughters and happily married to a psychologist.
